Le Merigot Hotel, in The District, is a 100-bed boutique hotel, called by its owner a “hip and edgy” destination. VPS Architecture put together a team of designers to create just the right atmosphere for Aztar’s cool customers.
VPS selected RATIO Architects’ hotel division along with Lawrence Lee Studios, interior architects from Los Angeles. The District at Casino Aztar is the place to be on Evansville’s riverfront.
The District includes a pedestrian plaza with landscaping and sculptural fountain. A strategic spot has been left at the apex of the plaza for a future signature restaurant that will complete The District. VPS, along with its consultants, master-planned the site for optimal initial impact and for future expansion.
