In a Design-Build relationship with Weddle Brothers Construction, VPS designed this 22,000 square foot facility located on Third Street in the heart of IU’s Bloomington campus. The building includes 40 exam rooms and 8 physician’s offices.
The new clinic houses high tech diagnostic equipment serving the primary care, contact lens and pediatric/binocular vision departments. The facility also contains a centralized administrative support suite, extensive records storage, and a staff lounge, all conveniently located to provide efficient circulation. The layout optimizes student, faculty and physician interaction.
A state-of-the-art video conferencing center links the School of Optometry to research and information sources from around the globe. The retail eyewear center is the largest, most well-equipped in the region.
