COMPLEX RENOVATION, CREATIVE SOLUTIONS
The Campus View project for Indiana University involved complete renovations, both interior and exterior, of a building that was constructed in 1964. The scope of the project involved complete makeover of the apartments, including full kitchen and bathroom renovations.
The three-winged Campus View facility was renovated in three phases, one wing at a time. It was fully modernized with enhanced electrical options for residents, mostly graduate students. Extensive life-safety features were installed along with a wide range of energy efficiency components, including all new high performance windows.
The building’s finishes were completely redone, both inside the apartments and in corridors and public spaces. Most of the infrastructure, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and illumination systems were either upgraded or replaced. With completely new fire alarm and sprinkler systems, the building now has another 50 years of useful economic life.
