Seymour Community Schools

Seymour Community Schools is growing at a rapid pace and in need of additional educational space. In 2019, VPS was commissioned to complete a study on how best to prepare for the district’s continued growth. The study resulted in a three-tiered approach that addressed the needs at each educational level and resulted in the design and construction of an addition to the High School. The addition includes a new kitchen and cafeteria that adequately serves the growing population and functions as an after-hours community event space. The project reworks the existing split administrative suite by combining the two areas into one, as well as providing a new accessible, secure entry. A new music suite was designed for the school, providing much-needed square footage for the programs, as well as the addition of 20 classrooms, the reconfiguration of locker rooms, and an expanded FACS program space that will also service the theater department.
