DESIGNED FOR BUILDING STRONG INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES

The Evansville YMCA, for decades a fixture in the downtown area, saw the need for service on the city’s eastside and chose VPS Architecture to design its first branch facility, the Dunigan Family YMCA, endowed by the generous Dunigan Trust.

The eastside branch contains all the resources and services that characterize the YMCA’s heritage and its mission of building strong individuals, families, and communities. The full competition aquatics center, complete with play apparatus and water park features, is a popular venue for young users.

The Dunigan Family facility has exceeded membership expectations and is packed with users most any time of day. The gymnasium with hardwood floor, the aerobics and weight training center, the elevated running track and the multipurpose meeting and community rooms all contribute to the making of a great community asset.
