The Ohio Township Fire Department hired VPS to complete a facility study to identify potential challenges and necessary improvements to their existing facilities. After a preliminary review of the Paradise location (Station 1), it was determined that the demolition of the existing facility and utilization of the same site for a new facility was the most cost-effective solution. This new facility, now Station 2, includes an apparatus bay for up to six vehicles, staff offices, bunk rooms, a day room, kitchen, and fitness facilities. The new station also includes accommodations for local EMS that are separate from the fire station living quarters, offering living quarters for two responders and half a bay for an ambulance. The demolition and new construction was phased so that the station remained in operation throughout construction.
